    A high oblique view/map of the first siege of Casale Monferrato, 28 March 1628-16 March 1629. War of the Mantuan Succession (1628-31); part of the Thirty Years War (1618-48). Oriented with west to top.

    The town of Giorgio (San Giorgio 45°06ʹ28ʺN 08°24ʹ51ʺE) is shown in the top left of the view. The camp sites of the different nationalities of the Catholic army are written against the camps.
