      A view of the Battle of Quiberon Bay, fought between the British navy, commanded by Admiral Sir Edward Hawke (1705-81), and the French fleet, commanded by Hubert de Brienne, comte de Conflans (1690-1777), off Belle Isle, 20 November 1759, resulting in a British victory. Seven Years War (1756-63).
