A map of the encampment of the 30th and 36th regiments of foot on Dartford Heath, 19 June 1759. Seven Years War (1756-63). Oriented with north to top.

The tentative attribution to Pleydell is made on stylistic grounds, however, the style also bears similarities to that of William Roy (1726-90). This camp comprises two battalions, one each of the 30th and 36th Regiments of Foot.

Condition: five fold lines; creased; surface dirt on both sides.
