A plan of the British camp at Fort Ligonier, 1758. French and Indian War (1754-63). Oriented with east-south-east to top (cardinal points). 

The encamped positions of the following regiments are shown: 1st and 2nd Battalion, Pennsylvanians; Marylanders and Carolina Men; Royal Artillery; 1st and 2nd Virginia Regiments; Royal Americans; 1st Highland Battalion; Indians. The redoubt was not finished, and the dam for the intended saw mill had been constructed. A note at the bottom of the Reference states that the 'Retrenchment & Redoubts are made of Logs & Fraiz'd at Top.'

The draughtsman of this map, Richard Dudgeon, saw service at the siege of Louisbourg (8 June-26 July 1758), and may have made this map, which may be a copy of another, while in North America.
