A map of the Battle of Rossbach, fought on 5 November 1757 between the Prussians, commanded by Frederick the Great (1712-86), and the French and Austrians, commanded by Charles, prince de Soubise (1715-87), and Prince Joseph of Saxe-Hildburghausen (1702-87), resulting in a Prussian victory. Seven Years War (1756-63). Oriented with north to top (compass rose).

The battle stretched over an area of about 11 km (6.8 miles).

Condition: one fold line; a 7.0 cm tear along bottom of fold; creased; water-stained patch, with brown staining on both sides from the removal of Cumberland's cipher label, verso, bottom centre.
